Hey friends. Today’s post is all out self-love, self-forgiveness and compassion.
How many of you are SUPER hard on yourselves? Girl, SAMES!!!!!
When we slip up with our fitness regime and/or eating goals, it can be hard not to blame ourselves. I find myself “shoulding” all over myself.
I should have stopped after eating the first donut. I should have worked out.
I should have done this, I should have done that.
Yeah, I know you weren’t planning to eat that donut. Or the second one. But guess what?
And sometimes, we take steps back instead of forward.
The fact of the matter is, you can’t change the past.
What’s done is done.
Beating yourself up over your mistakes is totally not productive. So admit them, acknowledge them, and forgive yourself for them. And then move on from them.
Time to shift your mindset and make a decision to start fresh.
You have a choice for each and every SINGLE decision you make. And that’s actually a SUPER powerful concept when we really sit down and think about it….
So, my peeps, if you have recently fallen off the wagon…..let it go.
Stop complaining endlessly about it to your friends or your mom….that will likely make you feel worse, because you are choosing to live in a state of guilt and same.
Would you beat your friends up the way you beat yourself up?
So go ahead and redeem yourself. Make yourself proud, and forgive yourself for your past choices.
You are totally worth it, and you DO NOT deserve to live in a constant state of shame and/or guilt.
So give yourself the love you deserve and move on from your slip-ups.
Remember our mantra: PROGRESS over PERFECTION.
That’s all you have to remember! Just think….if you are doing better than you were yesterday, that’s a step in the right direction.
I hope you all have a KILLER week.
Eat your veggies.
Get your workouts in.
Make healthy choices.
Let’s get after it!! xoxo
